We are so proud of our Hermitage High School 8th grade girls who attended the Girls of Promise Conference this past Friday!
These girls earned their spot by submitting essays and strong recommendations attending with 170 8th grade girls from schools around Arkansas.
They heard from the President and CEO of Arkansas Children's Hospital, Marcie Dodererand participated in hands-on STEM activities like creating makeup with chemistry (L'Oréal), using VR to explore nursing, and learning about electricity and energy.
While the girls were with their teams, Ms. Alexis enjoyed sessions on mental health and the “Catch Me If You Can” presentation from Arkansas State Police Major Stacie Rhodes. We are so proud of these girls and the way they represented HHS! Pictured: Alexa Hargis, Emma Parker, Damaris Castillo & Sadie Smith.
