If you are a family that does not live within our residential district area and you want to become a Hermitage School District Family, join us by completing a School Choice Application. 2024-2025 Applications for Grade K-12 students may be found on the Hermitage School District website at https://www.hermitageschools.org/. Paper applications are also available at the Hermitage Central Office at 310 North School Drive Hermitage, AR 71647. No time to stop by, no problem, call 870-463-2246 and we will arrange for you to receive an application. All completed applications must be received on or before May 1, 2024, to be eligible for attendance during the Fall 2024 semester. We can not wait for you to become a part of our Hermitage Family! We are excited to announce that Kirby Gibson, a 2nd-grade teacher at Hermitage Elementary, has been accepted into the Impact Arkansas Graduate Program through the University of Arkansas. Mrs. Gibson has been in our district for 4 years and in education for 15 years. We are so incredibly proud of her and can not wait to see her grow as a leader as a result of her participation in cohort 9. Congratulations Kirby Gibson! 

Hermitage School District (HSD) students will participate in the Monday, April 8, 2024 Solar Eclipse activities with their classroom teachers. All activities will be monitored before, during, and after the Solar Eclipse experience. At HSD, the safety of everyone observing the Eclipse is our top priority. Therefore, all students and staff will be provided with eclipse glasses and given clear safety instructions. Teachers will guide students on what to observe and how to record the information discovered, ensuring a safe and enriching experience for all. Parents and Guardians can opt out the participation of their child(ren) from Solar Eclipse activities. If a parent or guardian needs a new opt-out form, contact the principal's office to obtain a form. Inclement Weather Early Dismissal 3/25/24 at 2:30 p.m.! The Hermitage School District will dismiss early today at 2:30 p.m. due to unforeseen weather conditions that are scheduled to begin around our normal dismissal time. Weather conditions include damaging winds, large hail, and possibly a tornado with some storms. Please prepare car rider pick up for 2:30 p.m. Buses will leave at 2:30 p.m. Thank you for your assistance in helping keep our students safe when traveling home today as we try to avoid this inclement weather during afternoon dismissal. Again, dismissal time today is 2:30 p.m. for all car and bus riders. Thank you, HSD

Water outage update! Due to issues with water pressure and unforeseen time it will be restored from the City and flooding conditions of some of the bus routes, the Hermitage School District will be closed today. School will resume after Spring Break. Administration will keep parents informed of any updates if more information is available to our district regarding the water pressure and road conditions. Hermitage Students, Parents, and Staff, The Hermitage School District will be delayed for 1 hour this morning due to water pressure issues in the City of Hermitage. The City expects to have the water at the school fully operational by 9:00 a.m. Buses will pick up children exactly 1 hour later. If your road has standing water, please assist bus drivers so that students may be picked up near the area. Buses will not cross large areas of standing water on routes. Morning school is canceled this morning. If anything changes, you will be notified as soon as possible. Thank you, Ms. Spain
