IMPORTANT INFORMATION: PANDEMIC SNAP During this pandemic, Arkansas has been approved to provide the Pandemic Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits to families whose children receive free or reduced meals at school. Since Hermitage is a Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) school district, ALL students receive free meals and ALL families are eligible for this benefit. Each student enrolled at Hermitage for the 2019-2020 school year will receive a one-time $319 EBT debit card in the mail, sent to the address on file at the child’s school. If your family already receives SNAP, the money will be added to your current/original card. For more information, go to: https://human services.arkansas.gov.

Reminder: Students with last names A-H should turn in books, Chromebooks, headphones, etc. between 8:30AM and 6:00PM today. You will be able to pick up your personal items at this time as well.

Prom and Graduation dates set!! If guidance allows, Prom will be Friday, July 10 and Graduation will be Saturday, July 11. Back-up dates are July 31 and August 1. Details were emailed to Seniors and Juniors today and more specific information will be shared in June to ensure we comply with directives from various state agencies! Juniors-check your emails for registration information for next year!

As we all face unusual circumstances during this pandemic, we have been asked to share with you an opportunity to help your family and our school. The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) offers benefits by assisting families with purchasing food. The NUMBER (not names) of qualified SNAP recipients also helps our schools provide FREE breakfast and lunch to ALL students. 3-6 Graders! We are giving you a free book that will be used for your AMI work May 4-22! We are so excited to read with you! You may pick up your book from HES Monday and Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 7:00 PM in the drive-through in front of the school. If you need your book sent on the food delivery van on Tuesday, please call the office to let us know by Tuesday morning at 10:00 AM. The books selected by your teachers are amazing! We can’t wait to dive in to such good stories!
