HHS is recognized by the Office for Education Policy for High Growth in Math and Beating the Odds in Math in the Southeast Region of Arkansas! The High Growth in Math award reflects how much students at the school improved from 2023 compared to how much other students with similar prior achievements improved. The Beating the Odds in Math is an award because students demonstrated high growth on the ATLAS exams even though the school serves a high percentage of students who participate in Free and Reduced Lunch.

The 21st CCLC after school program will be closed on Thursday, February 27, 2025 for staff professional development. The Hermitage School District PreK and Kindergarten registration is now available for parents. Parents are invited to drop by on February 11, 2025, at the PreK Center or Hermitage Elementary School between 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to fill out registration forms for children age 3 for Prek and age 5 for Kindergarten by August 1, 2025. Hermitage FFA students competed in the Southern District Leadership Development Events on Wednesday, January 22nd. Jaycie Smith placed 2nd in Creed speaking and will advance to State. Kannan Belin placed in the top five of Job interview but will not advance. All students participating represented Hermitage FFA very well!
