Open House is tonight!
Hermitage High School será la sede de la jornada de puertas abiertas el jueves 12 de agosto de 2021, de 5 a 7 p.m. Los horarios de los estudiantes estarán disponibles frente a la escuela secundaria. Hermitage High School will host Open House on Thursday, August 12, 2021, from 5-7 PM. Student schedules will be available in front of the High School. We are asking that students with last names beginning with A-M come from 5-6 PM and students with last names beginning with N-Z come from 6-7 PM. Masks are recommended during this time.

Welcome Bonnie Halbert! Mrs. Bonnie has 8 years teaching experience. She is a National Board Certified Teacher, has a masters degree, and is an ACT Certified Educator. Mrs. Bonnie will be teaching sections of 7th, 8th, and 9th grade literacy. She is married and has several dogs! Mrs. Bonnie enjoys reading, traveling, running, gardening, cooking, and watching the Razorbacks! When asked why Mrs. Bonnie chose to be a Hermit, she said, “Hermitage reminds me a lot of my hometown, O’Donnell, TX, and I am excited to enjoy the produce stand, GTO, and have the opportunity to practice my Spanish!”

Meet Mrs. Nevada! Mrs. Nevada has been working in the Hermitage School District as the technology coordinator for two years. Now, Mrs. Nevada will be teaching computer science courses at the high school in addition to being the technology coordinator. Mrs. Nevada is married and has three children. For fun, she enjoys hiking and anything outdoors. Mrs. Nevada says, “I’m excited to go through the fun and exciting journey of teaching!” #HermitsLead

Meet Tim Whitney! Mr. Tim will be teaching K-12 music, band, and choir at Hermitage. Mr. Tim graduated from UAM with a degree in health and PE. He is married to Emily, and they have two daughters, Nevaeh and Chasidy. For fun, Mr. Tim likes to just live life and use his boat! Mr. Tim chose to be a Hermit, because he loves the community! #HermitsLead
Meet Mrs. Leah Smith! Mrs. Leah will be teaching 4th grade math and science at HES. Mrs. Leah has taught 4th grade for the last five years! She is married to Dillon, and they have two children, Noah and Ella Jade. Mrs. Leah likes to spend time with family and friends. Mrs. Leah says, “I am excited to get to know all of the Hermitage staff and students!” #HermitsLead
Meet Shelby Gardner! Mrs. Shelby will be teaching 6th grade literacy at HES. She just graduated from UAM with a Bachelor’s degree in Teaching and Learning. Mrs. Shelby has a brother and a dog! She loves to read and spend time with family and friends. When asked why she chose Hermitage, Mrs. Shelby said, “I became a Hermit because of the community, leaders, and students I will have as a teacher.” #HermitsLead
Meet Coach Shaun Wilson! Coach Wilson graduated from UAM and is currently enrolled in the MAT program. He will be teaching middle level math and coaching soccer. Coach Wilson is married to LaDeanna, and they have two sons, Brendan and Terrell. Coach Wilson enjoys the outdoors, hunting, fishing, sports, and coaching. When asked why he chose Hermitage, Coach Wilson replied, “When I interviewed, I felt at home, and I felt wanted. I am proud to be a Hermit!” #HermitsLead
